Burlap Fabric
A traditional, all natural garden cloth, Nurseries often use Burlap to contain the root ball of young trees. An important decision on removing the burlap is whether it’s natural or synthetic burlap. You can always cut piece of burlap cloth away from the tree and hold a match to it. Natural burlap will burn, and prove itself to be natural jute which can stay in place. A synthetic jute will melt, and must be discarded. Remember when planting with Burlap, to cut the burlap with a utility knife in several places to encourage roots to expand in the soil.
